Five Dock Handball Club History

The club was created early in 2011. Its creator, owner, manager, coach and financial controller is Ricardo Pinto - a brazilian living in Australia since 2006.

The first players to sign with Five Dock HC came from the Hills Heat and the main idea of creating this new team was to help developing handball in NSW and in Australia.

At 3 months of existence Five Dock had already brought 7 new players to Handball in Australia what is really a great achievement and corroborate that this initiative is a success.

This is a brand new club and it is your chance to join us and be part of the Five Dock HC history from the beginning, to contribute to the handball in Australia and to have lots of fun!

Five Dock HC Facts:

  • Played the first match on May 28th, 2011 (defeated by Hills Blaze)
    • During this match Louwis Venter scored the first ever Five Dock HC goal
  • Got the first victory on the second match of the season agains UTS (June 4th, 2011)
  • All the cost are covered by the players - what is not a sustainable model - sponsor us and get your company name linked to this growing sport!
  • Is the only team in the NSW handball competition that have got the same person as coach, founder, player, official, referee and financial controller.
